2012 was a year i will never forget..
i spent last new years eve babysitting so i was thinking my next year wasn’t going to be too hopping
but…
i was wrong.
here’s my list: (no specific order)
1. my best friend came back to me!
after 24 months (+ 1 week, 1 LONG week) Will returned from his mission in Resistencia, Argentina. Having him back leaves me with a constant smile on my face and I am so lucky he came back safely and happy!
2. i fulfilled a lifelong dream and served in Uganda
it was an experience that definitely changed my life. i was able to go with two of my best friends but also met some lifelong friends as well. i served with HELP international in Uganda for almost 2 months. i focused my work towards health outreaches in communities and educating about many health related topics.
3. i won my second national championship
4. won an international championship
we were invited to the Prague International Dance Festival where we competed 4 numbers and won the overall grande prize. we competed against schools from belgium, panama, south africa, italy, and many others. we took classes from prague dance masters, ate amazing food, and traveled around the most amazing city!
5. my best friend left on a mission
it was a little bit of a shock to all, but one evening isabelle announced that her mission papers were in and that she had been taking mission prep courses for over 2 months now. it was a decision that indefinitely changed her life and i love watching her growth every week.

6. i traveled to prague with 20 of my best friends!
competing in prague meant i was able to go with my dance team which meant i was able to travel to europe with 20 of my best friends. after we were done competing we traveled around austria as well! it was a trip of a lifetime that i will never forget!
7. i went skydiving
it was cinco de mayo and we needed it to make it epic.. so why not dress up like mexicans and jump out of an airplane?
8. my beautiful sister got married

Eliza changed her last name to Newbold in March and it a happy newlywed living in Draper.

9. i went on my first safari
(just really gettin into the experience ya know?)
10. i bungee jumped with my best friend
11. i road-tripped to seattle!
me, courtney, madeline, riley, anna, hilary, mady and kailey traveled up to seattle to have some fun. i fell in love with the city almost immediately. and here’s a surprise: it only rained ONCE while we were there! talk about a miracle. we were able to see everything and eat LOTS of yummy food. bainbridge island was my favorite!
12. i fulfilled all of my new years resolutions
sometimes resolutions are set too high and become too unattainable as the year begins. so i decided to set 3 goals and have them in my “notes” in my phone where i could always see them and be reminded.
LOVED this year and can’t wait to start another year!
(thrilled the world didn’t end. i have some big goals to attain this year)
