THANKSGIVING 2014

One of my absolute FAVORITE Thanksgiving traditions is going up to Stein Ericksen in Deer Valley every other year with my mom’s extended side of the family.
That hotel is hands down one of my absolute favorites!
Every unit is individually owned so each carries it’s own little personality.
And a huge +++ to the week was the fact there was SNOW up there!
I have been dying without snow!
How is it that the snow hasn’t stuck here in Utah yet?!
Although Thanksgiving is sometimes overlooked as Christmas usually takes the spotlight quickly… I love everything about Thanksgiving!
Such a needed time to relax with the family, realize how blessed we are, and EAT EAT EAT. I mean, does it get any better than family, food, & football?!
My little brother took this above picture at our Thanksgiving dinner and for some reason I absolutely love it.
It is a little moment with my family that is frozen in time.
Aaaaand no Isabelle isn’t a mother yet…. she wishes!
One of the highlights this year was to play games with all of my cousins, aunts & uncles. Even though I am fortunate enough to live so close to all of them I loved catching up, chatting late every night, and consuming more sugar together than anyone ever should.
Catch phrase, the couch game, table topics… we did it all!
Black Friday consisted of first wiping 7-11 out of all of their maple bars, then hitting up the Park City outlets & ending up at Home Depot.
So ya, obviously we shop for the right stuff.
My absolute favorite Thanksgiving tradition is probably our steak & crab night. No one in my family is the biggest traditional Thanksgiving food fan so we always mix it up and do one traditional meal and then one less formal crab night.
Don’t you love how classic all the newspaper ads are?  HA!
Easiest cleanup + it allows us to be as messy as we want!

This is the dinner where we went around and said what we were most thankful for and new little Luella definitely topped most of our lists.

This is a VERY normal occurrence.

See you in 2016 Stein…
I hope everyone had the BEST Thanksgiving break!
