Here’s another video from a family trip! I can’t help but laugh when people ask me if I am getting into videography. The answer is NO and, as you can tell, these videos are simply just sharing memories from our trip. I honestly think I might like my wedding video more than my photos! There’s something about seeing people’s reactions and personalities in real-time that I just love.

Five under five 🤍 Never in a MILLION years did I think my life would ever look like this but it feels so right.. We are tired but we are happy. Trying to soak up every minute because I know it will all go so fast. These girls have changed our life!

We took these pictures the day after I was admitted to the hospital because of some early labor contractions at 31 weeks.. I really didn’t want any pictures of my pregnancy because of all the complications but now I am soo glad we made it happen. My last pregnancy! The final time I will ever have a baby (or babies!) in my belly 🤍Thank you @ashleyteresaphoto for creating magic, as always. I will cherish these photos forever. (some digital, some on film 🎞️)

I will never forget October 2nd of last year. At my 17 week high-risk pregnancy (MFM) appointment, I found out that our twin Baby B (Ruby) had an intrauterine growth restriction (sIUGR) due to unequal placenta share as well as a velamentous cord insertion. Due to how early doctors were seeing the significant growth discrepancy between the two identical babies as well as all of the absent blood flow in her dopplers… they told me that the chances of Ruby making it out alive were very slim.

The following days, weeks, and months were the darkest of my life. There was so much unknown everyday of my pregnancy and we’ve never cried or prayed harder. Doctors told us that at any moment we could lose one or both babies.. And if Ruby passed away in the womb, there was a high chance Margot would be born with brain damage. Since identical twins are connected to each others blood source, every day could bring a different story.

We could’ve gone a lot of different directions after getting her diagnosis but ultimately we decided to continue the pregnancy, pray for a miracle, and fight through any unknowns for our girls… and after almost really losing Ruby on October 12th, I truly still cannot believe they are BOTH ACTUALLY HERE. The fight was worth every bit of the heartache and turmoil we’ve endured these past couple of months to finally have them here safe in our arms.

Thank you to God and all of the doctors, ultrasound techs, nurses, and our family and friends that helped us on this tortuous yet miracle filled journey. We’ve had numerous people pray and fast for us and are forever grateful. I will spend the rest of my life indebted to you and will never know what I did to deserve you all 🤍

After three weeks in the NICU, the girls finally came home (together 🥹😭) today. I still have so much to say but for now… let me introduce you to..

Ruby Elizabeth Gochnour - 4lbs 9oz (Baby B)
Margot Olivia Gochnour - 6lbs 11oz (Baby A)

It’s a complex feeling to be holding your sweet new babies in the NICU as you find out your grandma is swiftly passing away without much warning.. As soon as I found out, I sat crying holding my babies and truly felt heaven closer than I ever have before.

My Nanny Claudia was my real life Nancy Myers. She had the BEST taste in all things style and design and has always been a huge inspiration in my life. I attribute my love for traveling, skiing, boating, gifting, home design, and (of course) shopping all to her. She gave me and my cousins endless happy childhood memories that I will hold onto forever. She remembered every birthday and was constantly caring about others. I am so lucky three of my kids were able to meet her and know she is visiting my newest two babies often.

She had on her to-do list this week to come visit the babies and I know she is now here in spirit visiting and watching over them. The cute NICU nurses helped me print out a photo of the girls to go set by her bed as she passed.

Her passing makes all four of my grandparents officially our guardian angels. I miss them all terribly but am so grateful that Nanny is now reunited with Poppy and finally meeting her dad for the first time 🤍🕊️ What a beautiful reunion I’m sure it was!
