Let’s Talk STROLLERS!

Different stroller options for babies

I never thought I’d be that person who is passionate about strollers but here I am… and by the number of messages I get on this topic, I thought this post might be merited.

First off, I hope this post isn’t trying to convince you to get all of these strollers but I have actual use cases for all of them and I am going to explain them below. Do you need all of these strollers? No! Just read below and see what fits your needs best. We currently have five kids under the age of six so we’ve used all of these in various phases of our parenthood.

The Uppababy Vista Stroller

First, let’s start with my personal favorite stroller for the newborn stage. I used the Uppababy Vista Stroller and plan on using it with each newborn I have.

I love this stroller for the newborn stage because it has the bassinet attachment, can clip in the car seat seamlessly (especially if you have the Mesa Car Seat! If you don’t have an Uppababy car seat, you can buy adapters), you can have a chair seat once your baby gains head control (normally after around six months!) and you can even add a second seat + a standing board if you have the Vista. (This is why I personally prefer the Vista over the Cruz).

If you are planning on traveling with this stroller, I highly recommend getting a travel case! I know they seem expensive but they keep your stroller in much better condition if you use a good one. I didn’t and completely regret it! They get trashed when they get put underneath the airplane.. so I highly suggest a good travel case!

I always get asked about the carseat covers we use for their carseats too!

Zoe Stroller (Umbrella)

Zoe Stroller Discount Code

Next up we have the Zoe Stroller! I bought the Zoe Twin+ years ago and it’s been an absolute zero regret purchase and the one we use the most. We use it for every mall run, errand, and trip.

It is a DREAM to travel with and folds up so slim and is soo light. I love that it fits through almost every doorframe too. This is a perfect tranisiton stroller after you use the Vista or when your kids start getting a little older but still can’t walk everywhere at your speed.

Cons of this stroller? You can’t use it with newborns! Your baby needs to be at least six months old since they don’t have head control yet and can’t sit in a regular seat.

You also cannot jog with this stroller given the size of the wheels so if you are really wanting to run with your babies, I strongly suggest you invest in a jogging stroller.

I love this stroller so much that I reached out to them and asked for a Zoe Strollers discount code for you guys!

I also love using the Stroller Hook on my strollers to hold bags or Stanley Flip Tops etc!

Bob (Jogging)

Next up we have JOGGING STROLLERS! My personal favorites are The Bob Single Stroller and the Bob Dualie Double Jogging Stroller. If you love those morning walks or love to jog and exercise, I highly suggest you look into getting a jogging stroller! You can even clip in an infant car seat so you can use a jogging stroller even if you have a newborn. A similar stroller would be the Thule.

Cons of this kind of a stroller? They’re pretty big so I wouldn’t ever use this to travel with or go on errands with. For traveling and errands, I definitely use my Zoe the most.

Why do I still have two? I bought the Bob Single Stroller on Black Friday when I was pregnant with our daughter and we used it for 2 years before I had our son. Then we upgraded to a Double Jogging Stroller and use it every morning we go on a walk/run together. I was going to sell my single stroller but then my friend suggested I keep it because there might be times I just want to take one kid on a jog while others can’t or are in school, etc. and I’m surprised how I often I do only take one! I’m so glad I kept the single too.

Veer Gear Wagon

Next up we have the Veer Wagon! This is a wagon we got last summer and I love it! We use it for trick-or-treating, walks around the block, and the beach. If you live close to a neighborhood pool and need to haul a lot of things over, I absolutely love this wagon. Is it necessary? Absolutely not but we really love it.
