Honest honest honest…
We all strive for perfection.
We all try to be outstanding in everything we do.
And we all want to be the best.
But guess what?
Someone is ALWAYS going to be better than us!
This is a thought that I have thought about a lot this week! I needed this reminder more than anyone else while I have had these thoughts come to my head.
Someone is ALWAYS (and I mean it always) going to be more talented, prettier, nicer, more successful, and indefinitely more important than us.
AND THAT NEEDS TO BE OKAY.
We can’t be hard on ourselves if someone is achieving more in life in a specific area that we are not.
We can’t be hard on ourselves if someone is doing something we are envious of.
We can’t be hard on ourselves if people our offered better opportunities we are not.
We just need to be genuinely happy for them!
I think the word GENUINELY in that last sentence is the most important word in this entire post.
Genuine doesn’t mean we are commenting on their Instagram saying “Darling!” or “Congrats!” and then rolling our eyes and talking heat on them behind their back about their certain achievement/picture doing something. It is saying “Congrats!” and “Darling!” and actually MEANING IT.
Be happy for them because why not?? It doesn’t hurt one bit to be genuinely HAPPY for someone else.
I think for girls…… feelings of jealousy are SO incredibly innate it is sometimes hard to control it. Or even realize it! We envy so easily and chose to be jealous over being truly impressed any day.

SO let’s stop comparing ourselves to others.
We all have our strengths and we all have our weaknesses!
But in the end, we are all just trying to live our lives the best way possible.
SO let’s kill ’em with kindness.
