You may remember that my grandma passed away while the twins were in the NICU.. she was planning on coming to see them the next day and then she suddenly passed away. They’ve been dividing her belongings the past year or so and I was handed down this dress and these shoes. When I took off the belt I instantly started crying seeing her cute handwriting on it… my new favorite outfit I’ll ever own.

This song! These really are the ‘golden days’ and I’m trying to soak up every second. Yes, we’re tired and have new grey hairs daily and deeper wrinkles every time we look closer in the mirror… but these days with our kids are the ones I already want to bottle up. They are long and short at the same time. They are hard and magical. They are messy and sweet. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

If only I could show my younger year old self these photos.. Motherhood has truly been the most magical thing to ever happen to my life. It has shaped me into a better version of myself and I am so much happier with these five cute kids right by my side. They are happy, hilarious, forgiving, and loving and I hope they always know how much they mean to me.

The most unforgettable week! I’ve always wanted to take our kids on one-on-one trips but always thought I’d wait until they were older… After Elise passed away, her family shared on her Instagram page @3kidstravel to #takethetrip and I felt inspired to just make it happen! There will never be a perfect time and I know I’ll never regret it! It was truly the best week of our life.. I am in love with Charleston! More to come!
