THOUGHTS AS OF LATE

Park City Utah

I think it is absolute normal and human of all of us to get into funks from time to time.

There will be days where I feel like I am flying high but also days where I feel like getting out of bed is the absolute worst case scenario.

Luckily, this weekend was General Conference and the messages I heard truly touched me so deeply and were all exactly what I needed to hear.

Some favorite quotes from the conference included…

“Life is perfect for none of us, and at times the challenges and difficulties we face may become overwhelming, causing our light to dim. However, with help from our Heavenly Father, coupled with support from others, we can regain that light which will illuminate our own path once again and provide the light others may need.”

-President Thomas S. Monson

“Love one another; as I have loved you.”2 I’m confident that there is no choice, sin, or mistake that you or anyone else can make that will change His love for you or for them.”

-Elder Rasband

“Even with all of the mistakes, opposition, and learning that accompany our mortal experience, God never loses sight of our eternal potential, even when we do.”

-Carole M. Stephens

Quote on sidewalk

“Our divine nature has nothing to do with our personal accomplishments, the status we achieve, the number of marathons we run, or our popularity and self-esteem. Our divine nature comes from God. It was established in an existence that preceded our birth and will continue on into eternity.”

“Sometimes, the truth may just seem too straightforward, too plain, and too simple for us to fully appreciate its great value. So we set aside what we have experienced and know to be true in pursuit of more mysterious or complicated information. Hopefully we will learn that when we chase after shadows, we are pursuing matters that have little substance and value.”

I’m super grateful for the ability I have to hear General Conference messages twice a year.
